The Unilever Dragonfly award is unique in recognising the outstanding contribution people in the voluntary and community sector give towards enhancing the watersides and watercourses of the north west. The Friends were one of 28 groups nominated in the region.

We have worked long and hard over the last two years and were thrilled to receive the award in recognition of our work.
We would like to express our thanks to Mersey Basin, Medlock Valley Project and Manchester Leisure staff, who have supported us in our work. We could not have done it without them.

If you would like to help us make a difference, are not afraid of hard work and, most importantly, are game for a laugh then come along to our next meeting which will be held at Clayton Vale visitor’s centre on Monday 7th February commencing 1pm. Future meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month.
