2004 Jolly Bunny Hop

This year's Bunny Hop took place on Thursday 8th April. Following the horrific weather at the start of the month we were a 'little!' bit worried but, low and behold, at 7am when the marquee arrived and our treasurer was cleaning windows at the visitor's centre, it was dry and mild. By lunchtime, when all was ready, the sun had come out and we all breathed a sigh of relief.

Once again you all came along to join in the activities. It was great to see you on the Vale and we would like to thank you for your support.

People were welcomed to the Clayton Vale Visitor's Centre

As usual we had lots of 10p games to play, bouncy castles, donkey rides, face painting, mask making, tuck shop and a basic orienteering course with a cream egg prize on completion.

The bouncy castle had it's hat on, just in case the weather turned

Local schools sent along paintings for our Spring Art Competition and winners received Easter Eggs. The art was exceptional and all entries were on show at the event making the marquee very colourful. Many thanks to all children and teachers who took part.

The Manchester Post Games Volunteers and the Manchester Youth Volunteers gave invaluable help and our East Area Assistant Parks Manager, Kirsten and our Park Warden Louise were on hand to help, advise and most importantly, man the Donkey rides.

We would like to thank Community Chest, without their funding this event would not have been possible.

We hope you all enjoyed your afternoon as much as we did and look forward to seeing you again during the summer holidays for Orienteering on the Vale.

The face painting was as popular as always
