Christmas Kracker 21st December
2003
| |
The day dawned fine and cold, just right
for a Christmas event.
Santa arrived at the visitor’s centre in a horse
drawn cart, which was kindly donated by Janet and Alan
from Hasting Taxi’s. Titan, an 18 hand shire horse
and his entourage were festively dressed and looked
sensational.
|
|
| Santa took up residence in his ice grotto and helped
by Snowmen helpers from Manchester Youth Volunteers and
a special little birthday girl named Hannah met the children
and handed out presents.
MP Tony Lloyd dropped in to wish us all a merry Christmas
and chat to Post Games Volunteers from New Deal and
friends and family manning stalls etc. |

| In the marquee we enjoyed Christmas music provided by
Boogie Nights disco, guess the name, topple the tins and
bean bag games, a tuck shop, refreshments, Christmas card
making and a raffle, (prizes donated by Asda Eastlands,
Greggs Bakery and Manchester City Football Club). |
| Thanks to all who attended, Manchester Leisure staff
and special thanks to all volunteers, who were, as usual,
fantastic. |

We hope to see you at our 2004
Easter and Halloween events.
