About this deal

So many of these fashionable shorter Cosmos can be disappointing but not this one, after years of trials, this one is my favourite! Dobies strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. It’ll encourage these beauties to grow nice and bushy, ensuring a breathtaking display of vibrant flowers. The newest (and to me the loveliest) of the new breedings of cosmos trialled in the garden here – soft, ethereal and quiet. Stake and tie cosmos plants if necessary during the growing season, water regularly and dead-head to prolong the flowering season.

I’ve had it on trial this year: it has the same neat and bushy habit, and early flowering, as ‘Lemonade’, the plants have made about 50cm and they’ve bushed out well. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. While every effort has been made to describe these plants accurately, please keep in mind that height, bloom time, and color may differ in various climates. Details: Type Half-Hardy Annual Position Cutting Garden Soil Broad Tolerance Flowers July - October Height 90cm (36in) Common name Mexican Aster Moisture Moist but Well-drained Aspect Full Sun Spread 45cm (18in) Cultivation Best sown under cover in April but can be direct sown in May. The benefits include getting a jump on the season, having access to hundreds of specialty varieties that you won’t find at your local nurseries or garden.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Noted for its unique color, Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Apricot Lemonade’ is an upright, bushy annual boasting single, pale apricot flowers, 3-4 in.

I’ve grown these Cosmos Apricot Lemon before , they a very beautiful and delicate swaying in the breeze on a summers day. Deadhead regularly and stake early in windy areas, as the branches are quite brittle and can snap off at the central stem.

Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 18-25C (64-77F) or seal it inside a polythene bag. I love this as a cut flower and it’s compact enough to be perfect in containers too, dreamy mixed with Phlox 'Crème Brûlée'. Deadhead the flowers regularly and don’t be afraid to cut back because the plants will reward you with a ton of new growth.
