I finished reading this one already when I reread Death Note through Death Note: All-in-One edition a few years ago. It was a good short story that shows the long-lasting effect of the Death Note being used in the main series. I also enjoyed reading about the respect people have for Kira, even when they disagree with his actions and methods.

After these dark stories, we get treated to some four-panel funnies to lighten the mood “a-Kira” left us with, featuring the original cast. Some of these are just beyond ridiculous, and just perfect after reading the previous story. I didn't realize this until I started working on this review, but this was actually the Death Note manga pilot. A brief explanation of this prior to the story would have been very helpful. I was so confused, trying to figure out where and how this fit into the series timeline.
